Editing Our Film

Here is a screenshot of our film on Imovie. We have screenshot it at the part were our publishing company has merged into the start of our opening scene. We also have a voice recording of me singing a nursery rhyme. We decided to do this so that the opening sounded creepy and built up tension. It was decided that I had to do the recording as I am the one who acts Saskia, the ghost. As you can see on the screenshot, we decided that Kelcie should edit the different shots so that they are black and white. We did this because the shots are to show the ghost when she was a girl, this means that we are showing the audience the past, we thought it would come across better if we took out the colour.

This is a screenshot where we have used a black and white effect on the shoot. It also shows that we are adding text into the frame for our opening credits. underneath the video shows all the different effects that we can use.

This is a screenshot of the edit where we have used one of the effects so that a black screen fades into the shot of the actors on the bed, the black screen includes some of the opening credits. 'Written by Jodie Phillips.'

This is a screenshot of us deciding which clip to use in our film. We had to view each one to decide which one looked most realistic, as the actor had to pretend to jump. Allot of the shots that we took of this scene were not really usable.

Different Font Styles

These are the different font styles that were created to experiment with in our film. We chose a few different styles that we all thought would suit our film. To create fonts to match our horror thriller genre, we decided to use the colour fed with different creepy styles of writing.

In the end, we decided to use a plain, bold, red font with a fading edit. We decided on this as it is more eye catching and sharp.

We had to look through a loot of different audio clips available on Imovie, in the end we found a few suitable for our film. These include creepy and tension building clips that match the genre of our film. For the very beginning of our opening sequence, we decided that I should sing a nursery rhyme so that we could add that to the opening credits. We think that this turned out very successfully.
